Altough the script installation requires basic PHP/FTP knowledge, I will try to explain step by step how to prepaire, install and configure your script and your server.
So,we are ready to go!The first thing you must do,is to check if your server is fully compatible with the script requirements,so make sure you have the following:
Good, now let`s get to some more serious business. If you use a shared server hosting, most likely, you have received your FTP,MySql information at activation, altough,if you have a VPS or a diffrent package of shared hosting, and you have cPanel installed you can create you FTP/MySql user inside the panel doing like in the pictures below.
First of all,you need a FTP account, wich is used to transfer the files that you have downloaded from codecanyon to your server.
As you can see in the image, the first thing you have to do,is to go to the "Files" category, and select "FTP Accounts".After you did that, complete that form as you want (what username & password you want). After you do that, you can upload you all the files from Script/ folder (that you have downloaded from codecanyon) into your "public_html"/"www" folder using a FTP client, like Filezilla. If you have trouble uploading your files, try this tutorial.
Now that your files are uploaded, you must create a database, so the script can store all the content generated.
So,the first thing you have to do, is to pick the "Databases" category(like in the pic #1).Then, create a new database(like in the pic #2).After that, you musc create a user,so fill the form "Add New User"(like in the pic #3) with a username and a password. The next step,is to add privileges to the user that you have created, so fill the "Manage User Privileges" (like in the pic #4 and #5). Note* You can use whatever username/database/password you want.
Now, let`s continue with importing the MySql database file (downloaded from codecanyon) located in MySql folder, using PhpMyAdmin, like in the picture below.
As you can probably see, firstly you must select from PhpMyAdmin`s left menu, the database that you have created earlier and after that, select "Import" from the upper menu, select the "MySql.sql" file from the "MySql" folder (that you have downloaded from codecanyon).
In order to use the SoundCloud API, you must have a API key.You can sign up for one here: developers.soundcloud.com. After you signed up,you must go to "Your apps" from the upper menu, create a application and save the API key, like in the image below.
Make sure you save somewhere your "Client Id", because we need it later.
As I said above,if you don`t want captcha on comment section, you can skip this step.To get a recaptcha API key,go here and register a new account(you can also log in with an existing google account,if you have one). After that,go to "My Account", from the left menu, and then "Add a new site".Complete that field with your domain name and click continue. Now you must save the "Private Key" and the "Public Key" so we can use them later.
Now you`re almost ready, just a few thing left, Yeey!
The first step is to edit your "config.php" file, located in the "php/" folder. You can do this directly from your FTP client, or you can edit it locally and then replace the file from your FTP account. So, if you open the file, you will notice between the line 17 and 20, some PHP variables that must be edited.
As the comments says, in the first variable, insert your MySql host (usually,it`s "localhost"). In the seconds, insert the mysql username that you have created earlier. In the third variable, insert the password that you picked, and in the last one, insert the database that you have created.
Now you have to login into the admin panel. You do this,by accessing the admin.php file in your browser. For example ,if you have installed the script on the domain example.com ,you can access it by going at example.com/admin.php .Once you went there, login using the default username: "admin" (without quotes) and with the default password, wich is also: "admin" (without quotes).
After you logged in,you have to change the default password, because you wouldn`t like to get hacked. To do so, select the "Users" option from the menu and click on "Edit". Insert your new password two times and you are over.
The last step is to add the API keys that you have generated earlier and to customize you site a little.Down below you have a picture with every field associated to a number.Under the picture you can find informations about every field.
